Bits and bobs from August 2015
I genuinely have no idea where this month has gone! We’re finally on holiday now so it’s great to be catching up with things that need to be done and enjoying some well-needed rest. Today I’m sharing a few bits and bobs from August 2015.The weather has been a bit hit and miss this month, but we’ve made the most of it when we could!
Earlier this month we met up with Helen in Haydon Bridge – as she was coming from Maryport it seemed like a good place to meet. It didn’t take us long to ‘do Haydon Bridge’ though, as there’s not a great deal there! But it was very pretty and we found a great pub for lunch, and it was lovely to spend the day with Helen.
I have been doing a bit more secret stitching this month, which I can now share with you! This design was something that Daria came up with when we were working on our business idea, and I must have started stitching it a couple of years ago. It sat in a box since but I decided to finish it for her birthday this month – it seemed a shame that it hadn’t been finished!
Originally this was designed to be a clock, but I wasn’t sure if Daria wanted that – my other idea was to stitch a quote in the middle. She likes this plan and is working on something for me to stitch 🙂
Our poppies are still looking good in the garden – I change my mind all the time but these pink ones are my current favourites!
We are getting ready to have some work done in our living room, so we have been packing and sorting again in preparation. I’m really looking forward to getting our new shelves built and getting everything organised! In the meantime, I have decided to take a little blog break over the next few weeks whilst we’re on holiday and getting stuff done. So I’ll be back at some point in September…
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing a few bits and bobs from August 2015. See you again soon! 🙂

What lovely stitching! I bet your friend loved it! I need to get some new stitching started. Your little bees are adorable so I think I may look for something “buzzy,” just like yours!
Have a wonderful vacation and lots of inspiration to share when you are back.
