Birthday fun!
It was my birthday at the weekend and we braved the weather and went up to Alnmouth for the day. I had a super day, but it was a little bit bleak as you can see! That didn’t stop us having a wander on the beach though – I love Tom’s expression on this photo!
My wonderful friends and family were very generous, and (not surprisingly) my gifts had a craft or an owl theme 🙂 Helen made me these super socks – she knits them with extra pointy toes as I have very long big toes!
Daria made me this amazing 3D papercut birthday card – you can find out how she did it (and how you can make your own) on her blog, Fox and Flamingo!
This owl cake was made by our friend Kimberley, and it was a joint birthday cake for me and Tom 🙂 It was the most chocolatey cake ever – amazing!
The last bit of birthdayness that I’m going to share with you is my present from my Mum – it’s this gorgeous fabric envelope, complete with embroidered postmark and stamp!
It has one of Madge’s vintage buttons on the back, and was full of embroidery threads too!
I’m really excited to try out the cutting blades (from Tom) to make my first rubber stamps, so watch this space…!
