Oh Clare. I can feel the joy you and your friends had when creating the mural. It is a wonderful piece of art and so you. I also very much understand how tough it must have been to paint it over. I guess it felt official then. It was really happening. But how wonderful that you kept the design and do something personal with it. What a great way to remember that time of life.

I’m looking for a hard copy of conversionsbetweenDMC andAnchor. I do not have a printer . I purchased a book on line not knowing it was Anchor numbers and I have DMC. I found you during my hunt. I love your site and your enthusiasm. I live in the USA and probably won’t be able to find your book here. I’m 85 years of age and learned to cross stitch when I was about 10

I have a few of the MCG Textiles Inc counted cross stitch patterns.
Unfortunately they went out of business and I need to convert their number floss to DMC floss numbers.

Just saw this project on Love Embroidery’s Instagram page. I found the pattern on their website, but it only included the outline. Not the stitches or their placement. Marys recipe says bake for the first 20 minutes without opening the oven door at all . then bake for a further 5 mins and check for firmness. so 25 mins in total. If you opened the oven door with in the first 20 mins it may have caused it to sink.
