I took these first few photos on Christmas Day – we managed to head out just as the sun was coming out! I haven’t had much time for crafting over the past few days so I thought I’d post a few photos from another holiday walk. As I mentioned in my previous post Wandering Around Maryport it’s really easy to get to the Lake District from Maryport, which is brilliant. On the eve of New Year’s Eve we decided to walk part of the way around Ulterwater.

The beauty of nature is simply amazing sometimes, and our walk did not disappoint. Out of all of the photos that I took, I think this is my favourite. In amongst the trees I spotted this beautiful pattern on a tree stump.

This one is a little bit blurry (which I didn’t notice at the time on my little camera) but I love it anyway!

Many walks end at a pub…this was no exception!
