This is the last chance to buy my Sunbeams hand embroidery kit! Featuring a beautiful quote by Roald Dahl, this kit comes with all the high quality materials that you’ll need to hand stitch this design. The combination of the words, beautiful colours and pattern will really lift your spirits each time you stitch! This is a project that will take time to complete, but is thoroughly rewarding.
Can I stitch this if I’m a beginner?
Absolutely! Some experience of using a sewing machine is advisable, but you don’t need to have done any hand embroidery before. You only need to know two stitches for this project, which are back stitch for the text and satin stitch for the border of the design. The very detailed step-by-step instructions include full colour photos, so you’ll learn how to do it in no time! The design is pre-printed onto cotton fabric so there’s no need to worry about transferring it yourself, and the number for each colour of thread is indicated in the pdf pattern booklet.
What’s included in a Sunbeams hand embroidery kit?
All Hello! Hooray! kits include the highest quality materials, and the Sunbeams banner kit includes the following:
- Pre-printed quality cotton fabric, which you can stitch the design on top of
- 10 full skeins of DMC embroidery thread
- One hand painted 20cm (8″) beech wood embroidery hoop painted in a bright royal blue water based paint, plus a 22cm (9″) one that’s unpainted for stitching in
- Detailed instructions including step-by-step photos (in PDF format – these are accessible via a QR code included in the kit)
- Needle
- White Perle thread to finish the back of your hoop
