Ombre lettering workshop at Tea and Crafting 4th September
I am thrilled to be taking my hand embroidery workshops on the road in 2020, and I’m particularly excited about teaching my ombre lettering workshop at Tea and Crafting on 4th September!
Tea and Crafting is a wonderful craft workshop space in Covent Garden, London, run by Jane Gois (who I met for the first time on a train to the Handmade Festival a few years ago, but that’s another story!). It is light, bright and colourful, and is the perfect space to run this workshop. There are a maximum of 14 places, so you’ll be stitching with a small group and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions in the 2-hour session.
Ombre lettering workshop: details
In the workshop, I’ll show you how to stitch a basic satin stitch. Don’t worry if you haven’t stitched before – you’ll be a pro by the time you finish the workshop! We’ll block out the colours of the design, and then I’ll show you how to blend them through the words of the design: ‘Eat Sleep Craft Repeat’. This workshop is suitable for beginners and stitchers with more experience who are looking to learn a new technique.
You’ll receive all materials needed for the project as well as use of tools in the workshop. Materials include:
- 15cm (6″) hand painted beech wood embroidery hoop
- Pre-printed cotton fabric
- Pattern booklet with detailed instructions (with step-by-step photos)
- Exclusive bonus embroidery pattern
- Discount voucher for Clare’s first book, which will be out in August this year (yay!)
