In person hand embroidery lesson
Give the gift of creativity with an in person hand embroidery lesson from Hello! Hooray! It’s wonderful to start the New Year with something in the calendar to look forward to.
I’m really excited to be teaching in person hand embroidery lessons in 2025! Hand embroidery is a beautiful, slow craft that’s really great for being mindful and finding calm. You don’t need any prior experience, and in this workshop I’ll teach you some of the basic stitches that you need to get started. Plus we can have a good chat while we stitch!
What is included?
Each in person workshop lasts for 2 hours. We’ll cover all of the stitches that you need to complete your project, and you’ll receive all supplies plus expert tuition from me, Clare Albans.
All supplies are of the highest quality, and include: a 6″ beech wood embroidery hoop, pre-printed cotton fabric featuring the design (which is to be stitched over), DMC thread, a needle, printed stitch and colour guide, plus a 60mm sticker. You’ll also receive a link to download the full pdf instructions at home.
This listing is for one place on one in person hand embroidery lesson. If you want to attend with a friend, simply add two places to your basket.

This listing is for one 1-2-1 online hand embroidery lesson, which comes with the materials (provided on the day). If you’d like to come with a friend that’s fine – simply purchase 2 places.
All in person hand embroidery lessons must be arranged within 12 months from date of purchase (if you’re giving this as a gift let me know, as it can be 12 months from date of the occasion). Please make sure that the correct email address is provided at checkout.
Lessons are to take place either at a cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne that’s convenient for both of us, or at my studio at John Marley Centre, Muscott Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne NE15 6TT.
Lessons can be cancelled or rearranged up to 7 days prior to the arranged date and time. We regret that cancellations made after 7 days prior to the lesson cannot be rearranged or refunded, as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before purchase.
