This is another project that I’ve made for my business, Less Grafting More Crafting – sorry for another cross-post, but I’m just so chuffed with this!

We’ve been posting about this summer’s nautical trends on our blog and decided to design a project that you can make at the weekend. We were keen to do some fabric painting, and this is the result! It’s a DIY tutorial post so we take you through each step, and you can download the PDF template too. To see the full tutorial, click here. I’d love to hear what you think!

DIY Filofax inserts

I seem to have been working on loads of things that I can’t quite share with you at the moment, so I’m really pleased to be able to share this project with you at last! I had been meaning to revamp my Filofax inserts for ages but didn’t get around to it for the start of the year. However, I tend to work in academic years anyway because of my current day job, so I decided to do it anyway!

Ukulele baby bodysuit

This cute baby project was inspired by something that I saw on Pinterest a long time ago – unfortunately I can’t find out where the original link came from before it was posted on a tumblr account. If anyone can help me out with that, let me know! The original is actually a guitar bodysuit, but (as I play the ukulele) when I saw it I knew I’d have to have a go at making a ukulele version, especially as some of my fellow uke-ers have recently had babies! I think the original version is probably printed onto the fabric, but I thought that an appliqué version would look good. I’m not going to pretend that this is an easy project – sewing the neck of the uke in the arm is pretty tricky – but it is fun! And when it’s done you can play the uke on baby’s tummy! 🙂 I’ve included the templates in this post, so you can download them by clicking on the link below.

The School of Thrift: Thrifty fabric bunting tutorial

I’m so excited that my latest tutorial for The Festival of Thrift has gone live today! It’s wedding week over at The School of Thrift and I was delighted to be asked to write some content for it. This time last year, we were in the middle of our wedding planning (which was well-documented on this little blog!) and it has been so lovely to think back to that happy time and share some of our ideas.

The School of Thrift: Easter egg tutorial

20140405-193626.jpg

It’s almost Easter, and I’ve designed this little project to help you celebrate! I love Easter eggs (who doesn’t?!) but I really dislike all of the packaging that they come in. So this is just like your stocking at Christmas – an Easter egg that you can re-use each year!

This project has been designed for The Festival of Thrift’s School of Thrift, and is exclusively available through their Google+ page. So if you want to see more, follow this link! I’d love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to leave a comment here 🙂
